I'm pretty sure this'll be confusing if you haven't watched TAWOG (The Amazing World Of Gumball) It's a good show and I really recommend it. If some of you don't want to watch the show to know what's going on, you can read it here (You can skip to the bottom if you want, this is a long story): Gumball was a very messy child that would almost never calm down. Gumball's parents (Nicole and Richard) didn't know what to do, and decided to get him a pet fish. And It calmed Gumball down a lot, after naming the fish Darwin, it made him just an average energetic child. But of course he was irresponsible and got Darwin the first killed. Gumball's parents were worried Gumball would be upset and go back to his crazy self again. So they bought another one just like the first. And this time Darwin the second lasted much longer, but alas, Gumball got him killed too. This happend around 3 more times. On the fifth, the pet store clerk (Larry) told Richard that there were no more fish because the last 2 jumped out of the tank when the saw him coming. Richard was devastated, and knew that he and Nicole had to come clean. But then he saw a van, the door was open and within it was a pair of eyes. The abbess told him it was the Awesome Store and he could find almost anything. Richard climbed inside and spotted what he wanted, a fish. The dark eyes told him it was a smart and special fish and he would have to take the best care of it. Richard brought Darwin the 5th home, gave him too Gumball, and hoped for the best. Of course Gumball noticed something was wrong with Darwin, he was always copying Gumball, and knew when Gumball felt hurt. Gumball touched hands with Darwin, and a magical bond came between them. Gumball wanted to surprise his mom and dad and told Darwin to look stupid until he told him to show off. Darwin did what Gumball asked and floated around almost like he kicked the bucket. Gumball told Nicole about it when Richard found Darwin like that, he assumed that Darwin died. Richard then flushed Darwin and Darwin was washed out into the Sea. Darwin noticed this and knew he had to get back to Elmore during his journey, Darwin sang "I'm on my way" (Totally not necessary to mention that but who cares) Of course the journey was so long Darwin was covered in garbage and muck, so everyone else in Elmore assumed he was some kind of monster and called the animal control. Despite his luck surviving the journey- Ok I'm going to stop getting into detail. Near the the end Gumball and his family were at the mall, Gumball felt that Darwin was still there waiting and reunited, Gumball also noticed that Darwin grew legs.
