How to play: Use the mouse to navigate the menus. When attacking, just click on the enemy you want to attack. What was added: - Some new art and functionality from Betas 1.1 and 1.2 - All current characters and most moves - Type advantages - Status effects and stat changes - Global effects (such as weather) - Support for up to 5 enemies - New enemies - Healing What will be added via patches: - More enemies - Music - Support for all moves Notes: - All stats were balanced to total 200. - The following don't have functionality yet: action commands, items, fleeing, leveling, and xp. - Non-attacking moves don't have types since they don't deal damage. The type wouldn't do anything. - The moves rollout, puppet, and color mirror don't work yet. They will be added via patches. - Some moves don't have full functionality due to the nature of the engine. - The move color mirror has no functionality since no in-game enemies have special moves. - Some animations are missing for some of the characters and enemies. - Some animations were changed or added to work better with how the animator is set up. - Some of the projectiles are placeholders because I can't draw certain things. - For the attacks memes and memes chaos, I just looked up transparent meme pngs and downloaded the first few results. Let me know if you want any added or removed. - If those who were added in this Beta would like me to change their moves or stats (I did modify some of them, especially if both moves were "standard" attacks), let me know. - @marblestripes, I broke up pencil slash and pen slash into two different moves, and both are in the game. I'm planning on adding the ability to customize movesets later. - superpi2 is not in the game yet, but all other accepted submissions are.
Better Text Engine is Separate: V.2 Everything changed and added: - There is music played for the title screen, character select, battle, game over, and victory. - Changed backgrounds - Some sound updates - Most buttons now have a popup - Buttons hover around a get bigger when hovered over. - Enemies and player glow and wiggle when hovered over. - Added a loading screen. - Health bars can be hovered over. They also shake when taking damage and fall off the screen on death. - Changed some fonts and added outlines to most text. - Edited appearance of some buttons. - Pop-ups will now hover near your mouse, much better in my opinion. - Damage and health thingies have more shake and a fade away animation. - Weak attack icons have been massively revamped. - SP Bar can be hovered over and is connected to the bottom of the screen. - Changed look of puppeteer icon - Made glitch knights look more glitchy.
