Here is a simulation of stars moving throughout the centre of a galaxy (in a very dense region known as the Galactic Centre) and the stars are orbiting a black hole. Since black holes don't emit any light and they only burn nearby clouds when they're really active, astronomers often have to look at the unique orbits of surrounding stars to find where a black hole is. So that is what I replicated in this simulation. This simulation is based on the supermassive black hole (called Sagittarius A*) at the galactic centre of the Milky Way Galaxy. Instructions: 1. Click the Green Flag. 2. Type the number of stars you want (limited to 20-255). 3. Watch the simulation. 4. Press the Spacebar to pause/play the simulation.
