AppleTail's Quest I Ch.1

yeet ----- "All cat's old enough to stalk prey, join together for a meeting!" The call of ThunderClan's leader rang out in the clearing, reaching every corner, meeting every cats ears. Cats began to gather around under the great oak, whispers of wonder following the cat's as they sat down. Apppletail, along with her apprentice, Duckpaw, sat down near the edge of the cats clustered together. "We have all heard of the story, where the other three Clan's abandoned ThunderClan, just because we were 'to nosey'." As Leafstar stoped talking, yowls of outrage began at the terrible truth. A long time ago, WindClan, ShadowClan and RiverClan had made a vote to leave ThunderClan. They thought that they were better off without them, and left ThunderClan in the very clearing where they lived. But that was a long time ago. Why was Leafstar bringing it up now? As the yowling died away, Leafstar continued, "We have waited long enough. It's time we brought them back, to fix the mastake they made. I will be sending four cats to travel to where the other Clan's have made their camp." The cats gathered together started shouting that they wanted to go and to pick them. Appletail looked at her apprentice, and he looked as though he were about to join in. Appletail lifted her tail in a gesture to stay silent. Reluctantly, Duckpaw closed his jaws and kept quiet. Leafstar let the shouting linger on for a moment more then raised her tail for silence. Soon she went on, "I have already picked the cats who will go. Burningpelt and his apprentice Robinpaw," The two cats looked at each other, then stood up. "And Appletail and her apprentice Duckpaw." Appletail stood up and looked at Duckpaw. His eyes seemed to shine with excitment. She looked over to where Robinpaw and Burningpelt were standing and saw Robinpaw bounding over to her brother, the same excitment shining in her eyes. Appletail looked at Burningpelt and saw him stareing back at her, eyes burning with hatred. "You will leave tommorow at dawn. Rest up and see to the medicen cat for traveling herbs." Leafstar dissapererd back into her den while all the other cats congragulated the questing cats. Even through the encuregment, Appletail coudn't help but feel that something was going to go terribley wrong. -------
