Thank you @MiniSun for the thumbnail! Anyway, story number two, here we go! The Haunted Hurricane (???) By @Art_Author It was wet. It was raining. Scratch that, pouring. The sky was clearly in a bad mood just like me. I was tired of waiting around so I picked up the pace. I could see the drops of rain bounce off the sidewalk like a bouncy ball. The surface was the safest place to be, for a drop of rain. Down under, it was just fire. I don't know what happened, but the next thing I felt was my face slamming into the hard dirt. Cars had collided inches away from me. The force had sent me flying backward and into the dirt. I got up and rushed away. I didn't want any attention to be drawn to me. I was scared, confused, and wet. The door slammed against the wall as I walked in, limping on my right leg. "What happened?" My mom squealed in distress. "Nothing. I fell." "OK. Well, dinner's ready if you want to come eat. We're having a TV dinner. It's your father's choice for the first ten minutes, he chose the news." I hate the news. Nothing interesting ever came on. But TV was TV and I liked it. So I watched. "It's a late night for big news, Florida..." Big news? What big news? "The weather is telling me there will be a hurricane and it will be big" Just at that moment, all the lights in the house turned off. I went to the window and all the other houses lost lights and power as well. My mom ushered me and my dad into the basement, and she followed soon after. We heard crackling and booms, and a WHOOSH of the wind. The windows slammed open and then closed at lease ten times. This happened about one hundred times. I tried to sleep, but do you think I could? No. When the storm was over we watched more of the news. Two towns had been flooded, over two hundered thousand people died, and from then on it was called the Haunted Hurricane.
