Scratch is a medium you use when you're younger. It's meant by the developers to be kid-friendly, therefore everything within is rather simple. People can do incredible things with even the most simple of programs, but scratch is very, very limiting, and telling a story over time can take a lot of patience, and even then it's likely to fade into obscurity or stolen by a kid who doesn't know what they're doing. The SHS has agreed that Scratch is too limiting for the story to be told on, and that another medium is needed. We had some good memories here, but it's time to move on. A vector editor, like Inkscape, or an art program like FireAlpaca, are much less limiting in art, and coding by yourself in Javascript can give you a lot more functionality than a project. Besides, there isn't a limit on the file size on an independent game, which we would likely hit easily within scratch. Some projects already have. This may be goodbye, farewell, but we need more attention than Scratch can give, as well. Sorry to disappoint, if we have.
thanks for the memories
