The Goguardian symbol will explain the instructions. Welcome to Goguardian! Here, you can ban sites for your students(Lee, Isa, Natalie, and Bob), secretly look at what your students are doing, and search for sites Natalie is the Teacher's pet, Bob is that guy who likes video games, Lee is the rights activist, and Isa is the sassy naturist. And yes, I know google chrome doesn't actually look like that.
GoGuardian is an add-on used by teachers to monitor students. There has been an increase in use since online learning. I agree it is useful during school hours; however, after school, GoGuardian becomes a liability. Your teachers can basically drop on you anytime and see what you are doing, which violates your privacy. My teachers can close, view, and open tabs on my Chromebook at any given time. In addition, my school uses some kind of unknown software to ban certain sites they feel are bad for students. However, some students use their only computer (which is the school's) to play games, and the school bans most of the games. They also ban things that have nothing inappropriate on them. I believe GoGuardian is being unfairly used. It should be removed from our school, as it is a violation of privacy. >>Updates:<< Nov 7, 2020- shared May 20, 2021- Redrew some backdrops, new speech
