(this project is not complete) —INTRO— Just click the green flag and enjoy a trip down memory lane from 1995 this project has been carefully made at the maximum so it’s realistic as possible all images have been taken by me from a Windows 95 Virtual machine. I have made this project day and night and I’ve never slept (only joking) Well I hope you enjoy it. —OVERVIEW— Windows 95 is a consumer-oriented operating system developed by Microsoft as part of its Windows 9x family of operating systems. The first operating system in the 9x family, it is the successor to Windows 3.1x, and was released to manufacturing on August 15, 1995, and generally to retail on August 24, 1995. Windows 95 merged Microsoft's formerly separate MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows products, and featured significant improvements over its predecessor, most notably in the graphical user interface and in its simplified "plug-and-play" features. I have fixed a bug where if you play music and swap songs in the windows media player It will not stop the previous song. Dec 21 2020 Added the ability to play music. Dec 20 2020 I’ve added the open menu on Windows media player I have also made the file menu so you can access the open menu. You can use the close button to select a different song and to stop all operations you can also switch songs without pressing the close button. I have also fixed a serious glitch in the file menu took me about one hour to find out that I have forgot about one line of code. You can now select songs on Windows media player on the task bar the application will change depending on what song you play. I have currently added the classic rick roll song never gonna give you up, a MIDI file of the famous song all-star by Smash Mouth and the good old Microsoft Sound. I have also fixed a couple of bugs. I have fixed another bug where media player would not reset on a hard reset and I’ve added some improvements. Dec 19 2020 Hello some great new update today finally I have added the Windows media player well the very early one and I have improved the boot loader and MS-DOS hope you enjoy it. Dec 17 2020 Finally I have made the animated hover buttons on Internet explorer. I have also made the file menu where you can exit the program another way Dec 16 2020 Hello before I want to tell today’s updates I just want to apologise for not updating this project it’s because I took a break. this project is not discontinued and it will be supported for a lot of years anyway here are the updates. Firstly I have added a better Internet explorer. in tomorrow’s update I will make it so it functions and I’ve fixed all the annoying graphical glitches in the windows start up. And that’s all the updates for today and like I mentioned I will add an update tomorrow enjoy :) Dec 15 2020 fixed a bug in Internet explorer :) Nov 28 2020 Internet explorer has been added and the help topics button has been removed Nov 27 2020 Fixed overlapping issue and the project is speedier Nov 25 2020 I’ve completed the whole start menu and I’ve fixed all of the bugs. The Internet connection wizard has been added and Internet explorer is being added. Nov 24 2020 I’ve fixed some bugs and added the documents and programs to the start menu. I am still aware that the start menu overlapping issue is still affecting the project Nov 23 2020 I have made the find menu and I’ve squashed some bugs. You can access the find menu from the start menu. I’ve added the settings menu in the start menu it doesn’t function yet but it will soon. Also I am aware that there is an issue where some of the start menu buttons overlap each other this only happens on most computers. The settings menu in the start menu is now functional there is also a active desktop tab. Documents in the start menu now added. Nov 22 2020 I have fixed a couple of glitches and bugs Nov 21 2020 I’ve been doing a lot of updates today with this project I’ve added the run program it can be ran from the start menu I’ve also added winver you can access winver from the run program and lastly I’ve added a functional log off menu when you log off it automatically logs you back in. And finally bug fixes I have fixed an issue were the start menu is behind any application but it’s now fixed. The issue where the start menu doesn’t hide when you click on any program or sprite is now fixed. Nov 20 2020 Added the log off menu (it does not work yet) Nov 19 2020 I’ve added a help topic section it doesn’t do anything yet though. You can access the help program in the start menu Nov 17 2020 I’m still trying to find a button with a animation like a ok, cancel, help and x button but anyway I’ve added MS-DOS mode and I’ve improved the shutdown menu. Nov 16 2020 I’ve completed the whole shutdown and restart and MS-DOS sequence It can be accessed through the start menu. Nov 13 2020 I done some research and it looks like the start up animation is less blocky so I’ve updated to a high resolution image Nov 10 2020 The project is born for some reason the project it’s actually called (Windows XP 0.1) so if scratch can help me on that one thanks but now for the update.
