Story: Shadowclaw and her mate, PineLeaf, hunted together ever since they met. One day, while they were hunting, they were attacked by cats from ShadowClan. ShadowClaw screamed for PineLeaf's help and he jumped by her side. They were good fighters, but they were out-numbered. PineLeaf loved ShadowClaw dearly, so he yelled, "Run, ShadowClaw! Run and never stop until you get to the Clan Base!" ShadowClaw did as told and ran as fast as she could. When she got there, everybody asked where Pineleaf was. All she could do was collapse to the ground crying, and she did just that. The next day, she went out into the forest where they fought and found him lying on the ground covered in blood and bruises. "No, PineLeaf! Come back!" she exclaimed. She laid by him and cried. A couple of minutes later she head a voice, a familiar voice, "Sh....ShadowClaw? Is.... that you? She looked at Pineleaf's red face. She saw his eyes were starting to open, but he was still blinded by the blood in his eyes. "Don't worry PineLeaf, I'm right here." she replied with tears in her eyes, "Hang on, I got you....." She slung him over his back and ran to the medicine cat, SilkyPelt. "Do you think you can help him?" ShadowClaw asked with sadness in her eyes. "I think so, but I cant make any promises," SilkyPelt replied grabbing herbs to heal the wounds. "Thank you," ShadowClaw said as she walked out. Suns and moon passed. ShadowClaw went back to SilkyPelt and found her sitting right next to him. She asked if he was OK and SilkyPelt replied, "I am so sorry, there was nothing I could do for him." ShadowClaw just stared for a second and then ran away and into her den crying. Her den mate (and her best friend), Firestone, asked what was wrong and she replied in a broken voice, "He left me..... forever"
