Winglets 1: This story is told from Fierceteeth's point of view. This book is set up as a series of letters between Fierceteeth and a Sandwing guard. Fierceteeth tells her story, how she was supposed to be the chosen one, a Dragonet of destiny. She also talks about how she met Srongwings (I forgot the name, I'll fix it later). With these letters, Fierceteeth convinces the guard to release her. Winglets 2: This story is told from Deathbringer's point of view. The story is set about two years before the brightest night. We read that Deathbringer became an assassin because his mother was and she trained him. His mom is leaving soon to the main land on a series of missions to keep the war going on longer. Before that, there's a meeting between Morrowseer, Quickstrike, and the queen's daughter. His mother tells him to secretly enter the meeting and listen in on what they say. At the meeting the dragons agree that if Deathbringer is to go he first has to kill one of the two best assassins the Nightwings have Slaughter or Vengeance. If Deathbringer hadn't been at the meeting, he would have had to wait for his mother to tell him his mission. So, because he was, he immediately set off to kill one of the two. He first checked on Vengeance but there were two dragons awake but then he checked on Slaughter and he was in his room and no one was awake. He was about to kill him when Morrowseer came in to warn Slaughter. This makes it a little more difficult for Deathnringer but he continues with the mission. As they walk through the hallway Deathbringer quietly makes his move and is gone before Morrowseer realizes Slaughter is laying dead on the floor. He then goes with his mother before her scheduled departure in case the Nightwings tried to stop them. Their first target is Commander Tempest of the Seawings. She was helping Blister win the war (an incredible fact is revealed; at first, Blister was allied with the Seawings and the Mudwings). As they are searching for the hidden Seawing surface palace, Quickstrike gets hurt and Deathbringer has to continue the mission without her. He finds the target and kills her. Blister, who was present, is outraged and sends scouts to search the whole island. The scouts find Deathbringer's mother and kill her. With no mother to teach him any new tricks, he is left to continue with their missions with what he knows. He decides not to let the Nightwings know that his mother is dead because then they would make him return to the island. At the end, he reports to Morrowseer and gets his next assignment: killing one of Burn's generals called Six-Claws. Winglets 3: This story is told from Six-Claws' point of view. Winglets 4: This story is told from Prince Arctic, Snowflake, and Foeslayer's point of view. This story takes place immediately after the prologue of the Wings of fire Legends: Darkstalker.
