Four Continents mini story: Book 1 Apology Dove was a princess, mind you she wasn’t a mean over privileged princess who only cared for jewels and treasure. Dove was a kind, caring dragon who loved her kingdom. I want to be the best princess ever! Princess Dove thought to herself. Her instructor interrupted Dove’s train of thought. “Dove can you answer this question?” Doves teacher Swift asked. “Umm.. No?” Dove said. She had clearly not been paying attention. “What about you Falcon?” Swift asked Dove's oldest brother Falcon. “The answer is..” Falcon said as he wrote in his scroll. “The answer is 44.” Osprey said hautily. “Osprey…” Swift warned Dove’s second oldest brother. “Hay! No fair!” Falcon said angrily to his younger brother. “I just got the answer!” “Class is over now.” Swift said quickly Trying to avoid a fight between the two brothers. “See you tomorrow!” Dove chirped at Swift. “See you tomorrow.” Swift said back to her student. “You are the kindest student I have ever had.” Swift told Dove. “Thank you!” Dove said politely. What she wanted to do was jump up and down and scream with excitement. “See you tomorrow!” Dove said again as she skipped out of the classroom and into the sunshine. Dove loved the feeling of sun on her scales. But right now her brothers were ruining it. “How is it my fault?” Osprey was yelling at Falcon. “Because you just had to answer the question that I was about to answer.” Falcon yelled back at his younger brother. “You’re the strongest and fastest.” “Why can’t I be the smartest?” Osprey whined. Dove decided that it was time to step in. “Guys stop fighting.” Dove told her brothers. “Guys stop fighting.” Osprey mocked his younger sister. “Hey leave Dove alone!” Falcon yelled at their brother. Dove sat down. “Why are you so mean?” she asked Osprey. “Why are you such a peace monger?” Osprey shot back at his little sister. “I am not!” Dove shot back, then she ran away from her fighting, mean brothers. As Dove ran she heard Osprey call after her “You're a crybaby.” “Be quite Osprey!” Dove heard Falcon yell at Osprey. Dove had ran across the courtyard and back into the main place. She flew to her room and collapsed on her bed. She sobbed quietly for what felt like hours. After some time she heard a soft “knock, knock.” on her door. “Who is it?” Dove called out. “It’s Falcon.” Dove heard her brother call out. “Can I come in Dove?” Falcon called. “Fine.” Dove answered. Falcon opened the door and flew into Dove’s room. “I’m sorry.” Falcon said. Dove paused before she said anything. “It wasn’t your fault.” Dove said and she meant it. “It’s Ospreys fault.” Dove told her oldest brother. “Oh.. well i’m sorry he’s so mean to you.” Falcon said sadly. “Why are you sad?” Dove asked her brother. “I feel bad for fighting and yelling at Osprey, But he did deserve it.” Falcon said. “I agree.” Dove told him thinking: Falcon feels bad for yelling at Osprey but Osprey deserved it. So how does Osprey feel about yelling at me? “Oh.. Hey.” said a voice in the doorway. It was Osprey. “.... I’m sorry.” Osprey said in a rush. “I’m sorry for yelling at and teasing you Dove.” Osprey said to Dove. “I’m also sorry for answering your question, yelling, and fighting with you.” Osprey told Falcon. " ... " they were all quite for a minute then... “We forgive you!” Falcon and Dove said at the same time then both gave Osprey a hug at the same time. To Be Continued....
