[ proven incorrect hehe I’m just leaving it up so you can see my process] heyyy~ this is a theory I’ve been tossing around, and idk I thought you guys might want to see it :) It’s by me, although I’m sure some other people have come to the same conclusion I have- I just haven’t seen it very much XD This is mostly based on Chapter 1 of Unlocked (the excerpt is out now :D), so go read that before this hehe (I’ve told a bunch of people about this, but I copy-pasted this exact wording over from a convo with @nerdi-girl and @-NightWrite-) Keefe could be able to bring people back from the grave (and also Kenric could be part of the Neverseen). Evidence: Kenric references Elysian, which could be the Neverseen’s plan for Keefe’s new ability. If so, Elysian Fields in Greek mythology (ayyyy PJO knowledge comin’ in handy) are part of the afterlife. And because /Kenric/ mentions it (and also talks about how he doesn’t want to be a Councillor after what he’s seen), I feel like he’s somehow connected with the Neverseen. Which /could/ make sense! For example, the Neverseen may have been trying to take out the Councillors with the explosion in Everblaze, and Kenric could’ve been in on it. BUT he loves Oralie, so he saved her by giving himself up. And if Keefe’s ability is what I think it is, he knew he could be revived once Keefe’s power was activated (but obviously the Neverseen would only do that for him and not for Oralie, so he decided to sacrifice himself)
