PLEASE GO DOWN FOR CONTROLS AND NOTES ON WALL JUMPING ------------------------------ENTRY:-------------------------------- This is an entrance for the contest above (enter if you want to). It is also an entry for another contest due Nov. 30. Also, while I remixed, I used none of the coding from the game I remixed, just so I could enter the contest. -----------------------------STORY:--------------------------------- I wanted to make this platformer different than the stereotypical platformers, which I despise: Simple left and right arrow controls, lava, and words telling you what to do. So, after a little thought, I decided to create a more generic platformer, but backwards. Travel through the 10 levels, using the opposite control as your normally would. There are no words to guide you. The thing that makes this game different is the controls, shooting spikes, exclusive-to-this-project wall jumping, and the colors. ---------------------------CONTROLS:---------------------------- (if you use the default backwards controls) Left arrow or A - Move right Right arrow or D - Move left Down arrow or S- Jump (If you change the settings to normal) Normal arrows/wasd controls ------------------------WALL JUMPING:-------------------------- I looked at some wall jumping scratch games, and it is extremely confusing. So, what I did is way less coding, but YOU NEED YOUR FIRST JUMP ONTO THE WALL TO BE A CERTAIN HEIGHT (OR HIGHER) TO MAKE IT OVER THE WALL.
Note: This is a difficult platformer, there are only 10 levels, and I did this in around a week for a contest due Nov. 30th (along with another contest due Jan. 1) ---------------------------CREDITS:-------------------------------- If somebody has done this already good for them, but I was not intentionally copying anyone's idea. Credit to @e13 for his how to jump tutorial, this is what I use in almost every jumping sprite. Credit to @Funut tutorials for his play button video, which I edited but it is still like 70% his coding. Credit to for the thumbnail tutorial.
