Hello this is a guide to all lgbtq+ pronouns. I cover the following topics here - <3 Why should I follow pronouns? <3 How should I rember them, and what if I make a mistake? <3 My friends are forcing me to keep pronouns, what can I do? <3 I see someone disrespecting pronouns, what can I do? <3 I'm so paniced from many people calling me the wrong pronouns, what can I do? --- Why should I follow pronouns? This is simple, there is a phobia/fear of getting incorrect pronouns called gender dysphoria, which can lead to panic attacks, anger, anxiety, anxiety attacks, sadness, a feeling of hopelessness, ect. Many people will also hae theese effects merely form seeing this, but I will get into that later. You could say "why don't you just ask if they have this?" at that point you may as well ask said person for their pronouns, but I'll get to other ways to find pronouns later. The point is, It's not hard, and there's no reason you should'nt. If the problem is you were brought up this way, I must say. It is a choice to be a transphobe/homophobe, you can reverse the habbit of disliking someone just because of they way you were born, no, it is not a vaild phobia, it is a exuse for something your to lazy to reverse. Do not hate us on how we where born. We where born like this, just like (i hate to drag blm into this but im gonna, I could rant for hours on blm but im already too heated on dis) people are born with diffrent skin tones, you should'nt hate someone because of that. It is a choice to be blind to the truth, and to be too lazy to try. Do you not want to be a homophobe? Easy! just stop! --- How should I rember pronouns? Here are some pronoun finding steps- -Check said person's bio, if it's their, great use that. -Take a quick look around for pronoun tags, pronoun projects, ect. Do NOT refer to comments of people. -Use they-them-their pronouns Repete theese steps, all, the, time. And you'll memorize it. Press "A" in the project to see the graph. Let's practice, go to a inspo's proffile and fill this out, don't post the results due to spam reasons tho. Made a mistake? Ok! I'm gonna refrance this artical "It’s okay! Everyone slips up from time to time. The best thing to do if you use the wrong pronoun for someone is to say something right away, like “Sorry, I meant (insert pronoun) ”If you realize your mistake after the fact, apologize in private and move on. A lot of the time it can be tempting to go on and on about how bad you feel that you messed up or how hard it is for you to get it right. Please don’t! It is inappropriate and makes the person who was misgendered feel awkward and responsible for comforting you, which is absolutely not their job." On scratch you cannot privatly appologize to the comment, so quickly reply to your own comment "omg sorry I meant (pronouns) my mistake!" and again don't pick it up later! --- My friends are forcing me to keep pronouns, what can I do? Oh no. This is a more common accurance than you might think. There are a few steps. If threats to you or themself are envoulved, emidently seek help, Jaiden Animations has a good video on this, if on scratch, emidently report the comments, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H9jTQKmR3Q , it also is pretty funny, it wont be boring ^^' If it's not in a threatening sitiation, please explain how it makes you feel, if they don't understand, still watch the jaiden animation video i previously linked ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H9jTQKmR3Q ) long story short, get out of the realationship. Again, if it is pure threats on themselves or others, seek help. --- I see someone disrespecting pronouns, what can I do? I will refrance this "Taking an active role in your classes, you may hear one of your students using the wrong pronoun for someone. In most cases, it is appropriate to gently correct them without further embarrassing the individual who has been misgendered. This means saying something like “Alex uses the pronoun she,” and then moving on. If other students or faculty are consistently using the wrong pronouns for someone, do not ignore it! It is important to let your student know that you are their ally. It may be appropriate to approach them and say something like “I noticed that you were getting referred to with the wrong pronoun earlier, and I know that that can be really hurtful. Would you be okay with me taking them aside and reminding them about your pronouns?” Follow up if necessary, but take your cues from the comfort level of your student. Your actions will be greatly appreciated." Put yourself in their shoes, they may not mean it, but if they prove themselves as a transphobe, gently explain, but the chances are it wont help, so don't let it get you your head. It's best to drop it, so many people will dissagree, and theres really only a few peole we can change. --- I'm so paniced from many people calling me the wrong pronouns, what can I do?
(contunined instructions) Anxiety/panic cannot be cured, if this is a common acurance, I'd recomend seeking proffesional help, no, no one without a digree will fix it enough, not even your best friend. In the moment you can't really do that, can you, Here are some things that may help 1) Stay where you are, move maybe alittle to talk to a friend for comfort if you can 2) Learn to control your breathing, its good to have a steady beat, try to picture your favorite song and count the beat 3) Shift your focus. You can do this by contacting friends, drawing, breathing, ect. 4) Challenge unhelpful thoughts. Challange thoughts like "I'm pathetic" ask why you think your pathetic ---- #lgbtq+ #trans #gay #writing #rant #transgender #pronouns
