About a year ago, I was in bed trying to go to sleep. I began to doze off when I felt something on my leg. I instantly woke up and froze. The light was out and I couldn't see what it was. I was too afraid to turn back away from it to turn on the light. And so I sat there, occasionally feeling something moving at the foot of my bed. After what must've been a half hour or so, I gathered up enough courage to turn on the light. I pulled the chain on my lamp so hard and fast the the lamp was knocked over, but I looked back at the foot of my bed to see a rat scurrying away. Even if it was only a rat, the adrenaline made me get out of bed and kick the rat as hard as I could. It hit the wall adjacent and lied there, dead. That was one of my scariest experiences.
