This "world" is in fact on earth, it is an island off of Canada, winter there is harsh, but they still get summer. The island-purely wildlife for now, but humans are coming....... Does this world have magic? Well, the animals can talk, form governments, practice different religions, and many more things, so you tell me. I'm assuming what you intended to ask was a little different. That's a bit more complicated. Yes, there is that kind of magic, but it's hard to explain, and it's not the same for every creature. The Kingdom of the Cliff believes their shamans can contact the gods, the Wolf Pack of the Great Meadow melodic howls help keep the ecosystem healthy, even shapeshifters are said to dwell here. The Shadow Pack gains power from the moon and can travel between shadows and darkness. Who lives here? Many different animals. Despite the fact that they have magic powers, they're just the same as other animals. Well, there is one species unique to this island but they'll be explained later. Now, before you ask, humans have not yet found this island because of a heavy blanket of mist provided by the island's fluffle of mist rabbits. now, magic is not unique to only here, but this is one of the few places they can practice without greedy and corrup humans seeing. The story of this world follows the ravens mainly, but different species will be very important. The two main groups of ravens are the ones who believe in the cloud tribe, their ancestors who have died and the spirits went up into the clouds. The kingdom of the cliff ruled by a shaman king has nearly their entire life centered around Cloud tribe, and in fact, they worship them. Shaman kings sometimes have chicks, but usually, they just select an apprentice after consulting thoroughly with cloud tribe. In spite of being hyperly religious, they used to be quite happy about the diversity of relgions, but a new shaman queen has come to power and she believes it is her duty to forcefully convert all ravens, and eventually all bird of the island. Maybe even mammals. She has also turned the kingdom of the cliff into little more than a cult. The other main group, the Fellowship of the Serpent is led by a council of seven ravens all elected by the entire fellowship, minus chicks and fledgling. Each raven stays in the council for life unless voted out. To them, Cloud tribe is just their ancestors. They respect some and ask them for guidance, but do not worship them and in fact, pay little attention to cloud tribe. The Fellowship is called The Fellowship of the Serpent because they have figured out how to use poisons as weapons. They are also very clever. They live in the lower part of the forest, whereas the kingdom of the cliff is on the high up cliffs. Also, the mist only hides the island from the outside. the creatures can still see the sun and moon
