hello! I've decided to share my story - also an swc contest entry - in a project as well ^^ I'm a little nervous to share my writing for the first time in a project, but I hope all goes well <3 (it's still shared on forums, if that's easier to read. https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/459926/?page=1#post-4623851 ) CW: heavy subject matter. it's a little deep and I hope it isn't too sad ^^' word count is 2993, excluding title. space or click to move on! the seemingly blank slides with the star is just a transition point, marking the end of one part and the start of another. this is a story about hope - it is a story about determination and memory, about moving forward. I hope you enjoy <3 also - Laneria is a fictional world, although I was inspired by some real-world events. Rae is pronounced like ray, and Amaris is like am-uh-ris. I spent about a week writing this, not including the brainstorming stage ;) I worked really hard on it (during late nights, ehehe), so I hope that I can share something with the world that people will enjoy ^^ with that, that's it! thank you - thank you to people who inspired me to write, to those who gave me feedback, and to you for reading <3 ~ credits! I wrote the story, obviously hehe, except for the excerpt of "caged bird" by Maya Angelou at the end - that belongs to her. the image that I edited is originally from unsplash, and I did the calligraphy/editing on procreate. the blurred image for the slides is inspired by @stariqe's projects, thank you starr ;D font is spectral from google docs / google drawings. music is "What if I" by Elysian Music. I debated putting "the promise of the world" from howl (studio ghibli) here, since I listened to that while writing too, but it seemed a tiny bit too happy and might clash at times ^^' #story #shortstory #clovers :D
