you read the title right i'm hosting a map read this description thoroughly or ill sneak into ur room at night and yoink ur art supplies >: ------- first of all can i say THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR 2K FOLLOWERS?? AND SO QUICKLY TOO HSHHJH I DONT THINK I CAN ACCURATELY EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO YOU ALL -- i've been wanting to host this map for a while now, and i figured now is as good a time as ever to do so!! it's been over a year since i last hosted a map that actually got finished haha;; this map is an extra special one for me to host, as the song i'm using is a huge comfort for me, and thus i really really want this to come together nicely. please read the rules all the way through, and feel free to ask any questions you may have in the comments!! ------- ☪ RULES AND GUIDELINES ☪ ✩ This map is intended for people of moderate (or higher) experience with artwork/animation and MAPs in general. You don't have to be a god at animation to join; I just ask that you know what you're doing. --> When asking for a part, please link one or two previous MAP parts of yours so I can judge whether or not this MAP would be a good fit for your individual talents. ✩ You may use either AMV or PMV for your part. If you choose AMV, I expect there to be a good deal of animation in your part. If you choose PMV, I expect you to be able to use effects and motion blocks in order to add movement and make the part interesting. --> DO NOT ADD THE SONG LYRICS INTO YOUR PART IF YOU CHOOSE PMV. --> Some examples of good PMVs can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/366297304/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/385684444/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/422802592/ ✩ FOLLOW THE PALETTE. I cannot stress how important this is. The palette, along with a good example of how it should be used, can be found inside the project. --> Take note that characters and backgrounds have DIFFERENT PALETTES. --> Keep usage of the two extreme colors to a BARE MINIMUM. Good ways to use the extremes would be for eyes, small wounds, jewelry, or streaks of light in the sky. It should ONLY be used to bring attention to SMALL THINGS that you want to really stand out in your part. ✩ You may use EITHER OCS OR FANDOMS in your part. In order to keep things diverse, I ask that individual fandoms only get used ONCE in the map. This means that if you want to use Warrior Cats for your part, but someone else is already doing a part with that fandom, then you're gonna have to find a different fandom to use or just use OCs. --> Please tell me whether or not you intend to use fandoms or OCs when asking for your part. If you want to use a fandom, tell me which one. ✩ Parts are NOT first come first served. The few people on my homies list take priority; other than that I get to be the judge of who joins and who doesn't. --> If I don't respond to your part request within a few days, you can safely assume you didn't get the part. --> Don't get upset if your request to join gets denied. I would love to accept all of you, but in order for this project to be the best it can be I've gotta pick and choose. ✩ DO NOT START ANIMATING UNTIL I GIVE YOU A PART. This should go without saying. Unless your username is written next to a part in the 'PARTS' section, you're NOT in the map. ✩ When making your part, try to follow the mood of the song. Space Colony, in its essence, is about looking to the sky with hope, followed by the crushing feeling of that hope soon breaking before one's eyes. --> English lyrics for the song can be found underneath their corresponding parts in the "PARTS' section. ✩ Please use a MAXIMUM OF THREE SPRITES IN YOUR PART. Try and use two for your animation, and a third for backdrops if you wanna make my life easy. --> DO NOT ANIMATE IN THE BACKDROPS. This is gonna result in an automatic kick from the MAP. --> Try to avoid using things like forever loops and cloning blocks. --> For the purposes of this MAP, I ask that you do not use a watermark sprite. ✩ General MAP rules apply; follow the scratch guidelines, be nice to yourself and other participants, etc etc. --> Mild blood is fine, but not too much. I suggest you use one of the extreme colors in the palette for wounds if you so choose to add them. ✩ ONE PART PER PERSON. There aren't enough parts in this to allow for multiples. ✩ Make sure to remix this project with your part, or else I might lose it ! ✩ The part setup is a bit different from normal in that there are two 'buildup parts,' or parts that happen BEFORE the intro. Think of those parts as a sort of leadup to the main event. --> If you want to take a buildup part and have questions on how to do them, feel free to ask in the comments! ✩ The deadline for parts is currently scheduled to be DECEMBER 1st. Use your time wisely. ✩ Looking for a codeword ? Hate to break it to ya, but I don't use those in my MAPs. I sure do hope you read those rules, because I won't hesitate to kick you from the MAP if you break any of em ;D -------
