Introduction AshClan was different from any other clan of cats you may have ever heard of. Not only did the clan live in a place where it is likely to have a fire, they had a reputation for their she-cats; the only job of a she-cat is to have kits, right? All she-cats had a rebellious stage, but they grew out of it and accepted their fate. All she-cats but Applepaw.
The AshClan Code 1. The eating cycle goes like this leader + mate >deputy + mate > breeders expecting kits > kits >warriors + mates > apprentices > breeders without mates. 2. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. 3. A tom must be six moons old to become an apprentice. A she-kit must be 7 moons to become a breeder-in-training. Breeders-in-training become ready to take on mates at 9 moons. 4. Newly appointed warriors get to choose their mate from the full breeders and spend three nights with them in the mate den. 5. A tom cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. 6. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires, or is exiled. 7. After the death, retirement, promotion (to a leader status), or exile of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. 8. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. 9. Challenge all trespassing cats. 10. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger. 11. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code. 12. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense. 13. She-cats CANNOT become warriors, they are too frail. 14. She-cat’s only job is to become a mate and present healthy kits to the leader. 15. After a she-cat is chosen as a mate, the couple must prove their worth with kits within 7 moons. If not, the she-cat is exiled and the tom chooses a new mate 16. If a she-cat doesn’t have a mate before 15 moons, they are exiled 17. She-cats can’t leave the camp without a tom to escort them
