You are a samurai battling hordes of evil skeletons, projectile-shooting bats in a quest to defeat the evil wizard. This is the final project developed during a 6-part video tutorial series by Chromeworks. It's not a finished game, but rather a game system that you can adapt for your own projects. The code has been written in a modular system that makes expansion and customization a snap. Follow along with the tutorials and learn how to: -- animate any character with idle, fighting, injury animations, etc. without writing new code -- Easily create new melee and projectile opponents -- Add new rooms and customize them by defining playable areas, setting monster counts, creating locked doors and more.
This original coding project was created for Chromeworks by Jeffrey Tomec. Chromeworks is a teacher-led initiative aimed at showing kids how to stop being passive consumers of technology and start their journey towards becoming active creators. Based in Ottawa, Canada, we offer in-school and online tutorials in game design, animation, digital storytelling, film making, stop motion and much more. Lead teacher Andrew Tomec is a veteran technology educator who's taught digital creation skills to thousands of children.
