Name : Indigo ( Indy for close friends ) Species: Cat/Skulldog ( Depends on what I want to draw at the moment - and my art skills lmbo ) Indigo's a calm, collected, and mostly sane dragon/skulldog. He knows a bit about self defense, coming from a family that often stole from rich people, and subsequently got targeted by police. He's only loyal to his best friend, Spirit, who has no clue about what Indigo does when he's not with them. He steals to keep his family afloat and to give to Spirit, who loves the gifts he 'finds' randomly. - Indigo's POV - Indigo slipped into the lobby of the rich dragon's house, stepping lightly over the tripwire. ' That was a bit too close. ' He thought nervously, wanting to get in and out before anyone saw him. He padded quietly to a jewelry box and checked for more traps before soundlessly lifting a glimmering necklace up from the box. It had silver chains and shining opal gems in the center of it. Indigo nodded and put it into a pocket in his jacket. ' Spirit will love this. ' He thought, imagining their beaming face and half-smiling. He slipped back outside and flew into the freezing night, leaving a single custard-yellow feather on the doorstep. - minor bl00d warning for the next part, just a small cut - He tapped on Spirit's door, expecting it to open quickly. Their house was on a small hill, overlooking the rest of the city they both lived in. It was painted a light yellow with lavender graffiti accents, added by Spirit themselves. He watched a minute tic by. Two. Indigo exhaled anxiously and lightly picked the lock in the door. The door creaked open and he ran through the kitchen, trying to find his best and only friend. " Spirit? Spirit! " Indigo screamed, his voice cracking from fear. He looked at the floor and froze, seeing a smear of pastel yellow blood. " Crap. " He bent down and poked the tiny pool with a claw. It was still warm to the touch, and there was a trail of it leading outside. Indigo ran outside, the necklace he had stolen last night digging into his wrist. He stepped outside to find his friend passed out, wearing jeans with a matching blue with a nasty cut on their ear. Yellow blood was in a small pool on the grass. " Dangit, Spirit. " He hissed, dragging them back inside to tend to the cut. They blinked and stared up at him. " Hi. Wait, why are you here? " They asked, shaking their head to wake up more. Indigo guided them to a chair. " Stay still, you got a cut on your ear. " He quickly found paper towels and dealt with the cut, Spirit wincing the entire time. " Dang, what happened to you? " Indigo asked, wrapping up the cut with gauze. Spirit shrugged in the chair. " Dunno. Random person wearing a black hoodie with a green logo on it busted into the door and flung something at my ear. It crashed out the window. I pushed them out the door and went to go find the thing they threw, but I was feeling really sleepy for some reason. " Indigo narrowed his eyes. " I'll be back in a second. " He left the necklace on the table next to Spirit and dashed out the back door. He found a very small dagger with light yellow blood splattered on the tip. " Hm... " Indigo looked at the rest of the blade and noticed a sickly green stuff stuck to the rest of it. Poison, maybe? He wondered, going back inside to talk to Spirit. Another few feathers dropped from his wings to flutter onto the grass. Spirit was poking the necklace with a claw curiously. They looked up at Indigo as he entered. " Oh, hey. What'd you find? " They asked, putting on the necklace. " Poison dagger. Be glad it only nicked your ear. " He replied, not wanting to think about what would happen if it had actually hit them. Spirit exhaled, thinking the same thing as Indigo. " Well. I'm glad that's over. " They both said in unison, before laughing together. Indigo knew this wasn't totally finished, but at least his friend was alright. That's all that matters, he thought, sitting down next to Spirit. - end . . . for now. -
