yay im done this took forever ok time to go watch youtube now asjdk -- [ Art Process ] 1. Pose First off: I take my reference photos and put them off to the side. This is so I can access my reference and colors easier. I sketch out the pose that I want the character to be in on the side. Don't worry, the final doesn't look like a stick figure lmao 2. Sketch My sketch! I draw out all the elements in different colors so it's easier to see. (Haha sorry my sketch is kind of messy) 3. Lower Opacity I lower the opacity of my sketch so I can start doing my lineart :) 4. Lineart Here's some ugly black lineart :) I usually do my lineart in black and then color it, but I recommend using a softer color like brown to do it (I don't do it though, it's just personal opinion). 5. Flat Colors Here's where I lay all my colors down. I put them all on one layer. I don't recommend making layers for every single color (e.g. a layer for the skin, a layer for the shirt, a layer for the hair etc.) because you just have a bunch of extra layers and It'll get confusing, but again, that's just my personal opinion. 6. Colored Lineart So this is where I color my lineart. You don't have to do it, but I personally like to because it gives your drawing a much softer look and the colors blend together better :) 7. Skin Warmth SDJKGNK OKAY SO IF YOU'RE EVER DRAWING HUMANS GIVE THEM SKIN WARMTH hsiDJNKG like,, slap some red around places like your heels, knees, fingeres, shoulders, elbows, ears and nose. Then blend it. I used to not do this and it made my drawings look really weird,, tho I'm sure a lot of you can probably make drawings better than me and not add skin warmth lol. It just gives your drawing more life haha 8. Shading Okk so on this step I basically just shade the parts that need shadows, like where one leg covers the other. It's not that fancy. I usually use multiply layers to do this but in this case I didn't. For the pants, instead of just using a darker pink, I used some purple too. Idk, I just sometimes think that not using multiply layers sometimes makes your drawing look a little better :) 9. Color Dodge + Lighting This is where I add all the special sparkles n stuff!! I use screen layers for the lighting around the pants and legs, and then I use color dodge around the hair. I think I kind of messed my art up here with it, but It's really fun and if you want to add shiny stuff that pops out then use color dodge. 10. Chromatic Aberration OMG I LVOE THSI SETTING Chromatic Aberration is when it basically separates the red, green and blue (I think?) out and just gives a really cool effect. There's a chromatic aberration setting on Photoshop and Procreate but idk if any other art programs have it. 11. Background Here I just use a watercolor brush (idk what it's called im sorry) and brush it around to make a background 12. Finished Product And I'm done! I hope this art process helped you in some way :) [ Credits ] character belongs to code by me (except for the falling circle thing code) fa n c y sparkle code by
