eyy I saw Peri doing it so I thought why not do it for mah lil baby bard character and here we are now P: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/457172076/ JOAL Studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/27700265/projects/ Context for some of the songs: "Talk to me," and "Pierrot" is mostly dedicated to Eliza because Amora and her grew up together but it doesn't mean that Eliza had been honest about how she truly feels and she doesn't really vent to anyone and Amora knows this. Amora wants Eliza to open up to her about her problems but knows that Eliza might never be honest about it. However because of this, Amora keeps some of her personal problems to herself or vents to Thomas about it since she doesn’t want to worry Eliza hence why I chose “Pierrot” for the playlist. So for now, these songs resemble hope for Amora for Eliza to be truly honest about her feelings. The more dorky songs like "I'm in love with an e-girl" and "New Light" are just what I think Amora would listen to in modern times unironically. New Light because Amora is seemingly stuck in the friendzone (and also check out the music video for this...It just seems something Amora would make if her moms bought her a green screen for christmas-) and "I'm in love with an e-girl" just a catchy song that I feel like modern Amora would write a melody something similar to it. Also it's just a bop. The more sad songs such as "Dead Weight" and "Escapism" are Amora's desires to do much more than being a shopkeeper. "Dead Weight" emphasis on Amora feeling pressured to take over the family shop and have a family of her own despite feeling that she needs to do more in her life than business. "Escapism" is also the same thing but has more emphasis on Amora's idea of freedom and not wanting to spoil her ideals to her parents. (Her moms literally does not care if Amora would want the family business to pass down to her since it was their own attempts at trying to find income that would allow more flexibility. which...it didn't give them that until years later. But Amora just sort of feels guilty if the business dies with them because the business is also a largely important memory for Amora and will remind her of her moms) The more light hearted versions of those songs would be “Ultimately,” “The Call,” and “The Age of Worry” as it highlights Amora’s more optimistic view on her new adventure with the group. Ultimately is dedicated to her moms, specifically Ai, as Amora leaves them to get more money to save the business and promises them that she’ll be back soon. The Call is also similar to Ultimately but focusing on how Amora knows that this job is dangerous but as long as she has her friends to back her up, she’ll manage to survive and come back home. The Age of Worry is just Amora growing up in general and sort of serves as what is to come for her character arc and what she somewhat already believes in. “Absolutely Smitten” and “Shop full of Wonders” is actually based on Amora's view of the other love lives (or attempted) in her life. “Absolutely Smitten” takes from the perspective of Amora as she sees Eliza slowly pining for Thomas with Thomas being the “handsome stranger” who had given a certain hope to Eliza that no one else could. Shop full of Wonders is basically about Kesera’s and Ai’s early relationship when the business was just starting and Kesera starting to go out as a traveling merchant to make ends meet. Basically Ai longing for Kesera during that time period while she was left alone with the cryptid infant. “Would you be so kind” and “You” is basically Amora’s national anthem about her pining for Edwin- “Would you be so kind,” is more of an innocent optimistic outlook on Amora’s crush as she’s still trying to win Edwin’s affections, perhaps when she was younger. However, “You” takes a more tired, worried view on Amora’s crush since in present time, she still likes Edwin but questions if they would actually be good together as romantic partners for each other. Maw of the Undertow, Be wherever you are, and While my Guitar gently weeps (regina spektor cover is amazing) is more of fun cheery songs that I have for Amora. Maw of the Undertow is literally the pinnacle of how Amora got into music and here’s the friggin story for it: imagine an 8 year old kid with their innocent best friend strolling through towns and doing errands. Now have that 8 year old kid with ADHD hearing some fantastical music inside of a tavern and sneaks in with said best friend to watch the performance. Bam, now you have an aspiring bard and an ultimate lifetime ban as the two kids were accused of trying to steal the beer when an apple theif frames them for murder- jk about the theif but Amora and Eliza were kicked out and brought to a startled Ai who scolded them afterwords. yee yee figure out the rest lol Edit: For some reason, Epic III and Love like you got mixed up so rip...and new light got mixed up by Epic III- edit: fixed it
