She’s currently studying astronomy, trying to find the size of the universe. Lyla also skipped two grades, seventh and eighth. She has college cut out for her. — She came to understand the humanity of people by six. But she didn’t do anything until she was seven. Lyla was a constant source of worry for her parents, especially when she used to come home with cuts. When asked, she would say, “Just helping the neighborhood.” Her sense of ‘help’ never faltered. She found her best friend in an alley at seven. It was the day before her birthday, and Lyla’s life fell apart once she understood. The mentality of humans was scary. Lyla had always been sort of reckless. Never thinking before doing something that required passion. And she had no reason to get involved here. But why shouldn’t she? Lyla planted her fists on her hips and yelled, “Hey!” She came home that night with a sprained ankle and a long gash on her face. She didn’t care. Lyla also came home with her friend Marisa, who was nearly beaten to unconsciousness. Still, she wore a smile the next day. “I did something,” She would say. “And I like that.” Lyla did not lose her confidence, even when she was diagnosed with asthma. “Why should I fear death? I’m going to keep running and reading and watching and helping.” She had a shock fall the next year. Lyla was now 14. Even more reckless than before, she was a year into being a teenager. It happened when her family went to Niagara Falls and a three-year-old fell of the cliff, into the water. Lyla dove in, and though it was a good thing, she couldn’t do sports anymore, and almost permanently crippled her right leg. She grew more cautious, and her smiles dimmed. Though she shouldn’t, Lyla let a sort of anxiety pass over her, and she spent a lot of her time indoors. If she came outside, it was when it was cloudy. And so Lyla became quiet. Quiet, and shrewd. “I wish I more careful. I wish I could save everyone. I wish I could make death painless. I wish.” — Credits: -Art by me in procreate -code by me -I used apple pen and iPad Pro -Netflix trip by AJR -character currently belongs to pknguyen -pknguyen for hosting -meme is from Ouran High School Host Club Please click see inside!
