Hello, and welcome to the thirteenth (???) demo of Dr. Robotnik and the Daleks, building off the previous part, part 1! In these instructions, you will find a few things. The story, Controls, Update Log, Known Bugs, Plans/fixes for the future, and closing announcement. GAME WAS MADE PRIMARILY IN TURBOWARP - it may work better in TurboWarp. (but I have set it up at 30 FPS, so trying 60 FPS version may break the game...) ===================Story================= After Sonic 3 and Knuckles (or Sonic Mania), Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik flees to Metropolis Zone to plan his next attack, when he meets up with the Daleks, mysterious creatures from another dimension. He tells the Daleks about Sonic, a blue hedgehog who is supposedly an enemy to him and the Daleks. The Daleks accept, attempting to destroy the blue blur...but stuff starts to go wrong for the mad doctor...very wrong. ==================Controls================ Up: Look up. Down: Crouch Left/Right: Move in that direction. Space: Jump. NO SPINDASH YET!!!! Green Flag: Return to or go to the menu. Delete Eggy: Select him using the down arrow on DEZ. Press the left arrow to delete your save (you won't need to watch the intro cutscene), press right arrow to cancel and go back to the selection ===============Update Log================= Part 1's Demo Update Log has been removed, due to length. I also can't post it here because links are garbled mess and the bad word detection jumps on it for some reason. So enjoy the demo log from Mushroom Valley onwards. Mushroom Valley Demo: Added Mushroom Valley in it's basic state. Reworked some of the code to get rid of repetitive instructions. Flying Battery Act 1 Demo: Added the first act of Flying Battery! Flying Battery Act 2 Demo: Added the second act of Flying Battery. Sandopolis Act 1 Demo: Added Sandopolis Act 1 for the moment. I also added a couple new things to the menu, such as a delete function and chaos emeralds (though you can't see them yet.). I readjusted the "SEGA! Lies!" screen a bit, as you'll see clearly once you pass Angel Island. Sandopolis Act 1.5 Demo: Oh boy, this is a teaser to the MASSIVE update that is coming. Most of the new stuff is in this demo, but there will be more to come I'm sure. I have; Changed Sonic's sprite to use a different one, changed Sonic's physics, basing them more off the game (still finicky. I hope to have most of the kinks fixed by Sandopolis Act 2 Demo), added a title screen (finally), added the Sonic 2 Sega Logo (SEGA logo has many variants!), made the Daleks slightly bigger. Sandopolis Act 2 Demo: Added Sandopolis Act 2 Fine tuned and tweaked some of Sonic's physics. Blue Sphere Special Stage is accessible now (DO NOT FAIL), but doesn't quite work yet. Minor bug fixes here and there. Redid some timing issues. Strongly encouraging holding LEFT after a cutscene ends. Lava Reef Act 1 Demo: Added Lava Reef Act 1. Lava Reef Act 2 Demo: Added Lava Reef Act 2. Boss needs some more work. HPZ/SSZ Demo: Added both Hidden Palace and Sky Sanctuary Zones. More adjustments are still needed. Death Egg Act 1 Demo: Added Death Egg Act 1, and fixed some minor bugs (especially around Launch Base's bosses malfunctioning). Some stuff in DEZ 1 are a little buggy ==============Known Bugs================ 1. The animal capsule does not produce animals 2. If you die from a time over, your next time over will be a minute later. (I don't know if this is still there.) 3. Drowning/dying kinda works. 4. I had this happen to me in Hydrocity where the wall collision didn't show up for some reason...? The new system works, but I guess in that zone it doesn't...? 5. Hydrocity top route is all kinds of broken??? I'm also aware of some other minor bugs. If you get stuck somewhere, just reset the game by pressing the green flag. I have a list now of the bugs in each zone, but continue to report bugs if you find one. (Note: That sure is a lot of known bugs, ain't it! Well, 2 things to remember. 1. I suck at coding games like this. 2. Things WILL be patched.) ===============Plans/Fixes================= 1. Fix as many of the bug as possible 2. Add Death Egg Act 2 3. Work more on Blue Sphere Special Stage 4. Add. More. Rings. 5. Add badniks/animals. 6. Add hurt stuff. (I did, KINDA...I'm still not allowing you to die for right now, so if it gets stuck, reset with the green flag). We are SO CLOSE to finish the base game. If I can just get through this part we can FINALLY move on to the little stuff!! Next up, Act 2 and the Final Boss... -NickWilde128 Lead Everything for "Dr. Robotnik and the Daleks"
