Hey guys I got a rant I'm in the MCR fandom and obviously, you know that. The MCR fandom is kind of notorious for its ship called Frerard. and I'm here to talk about it. Basically, this is a rant on shipping real people. DISCLAIMER: I will not be mentioning other ships other than this because I have had really no experience with Septiplier and Dan and Phil thing, this is based on my experiences with Frerard. So we all know about the whole Frerard craze that went through The MCR fandom like wildfire. The moment that first kiss was shared on stage, everyone went fricking ballistic. Fanart here, fanfic there, dirty writing over here! It was everywhere. You literally can’t go into the MCR fandom without knowing about this ship. It’s toxic. Now I’m not saying that the relationship itself would be toxic, no-no-no. I’m saying the fan base is really toxic with it. For one, we have absolutely NO proof that these people are gay/bi/Pan whatever, so stop making said theory videos and posts because it is SO hecking disrespectful. Here’s a bit of a hot take: NO ONE ON THIS GOSH DARN PLANET HAS THE RIGHT TO SPECULATE OR CLAIM SOMEONE'S SEXUAL ORIENTATION. That’s it. You are NOT allowed to claim someone as gay, you are NOT allowed to try and out someone, and you are NOT allowed to be pushy and FORCE them into outing themselves. Coming out is always a hard process that takes so much courage and patience. Y’all gotta be hecking patient. People will get overwhelmed with “Are you gay?” “Well, you can’t be straight just look at this evidence UwU.” That person might have been planning to say something but feel like the weight on their shoulders wouldn’t be dropped. It would probably be even MORE overwhelming to come out and then have a bombardment of “I KNEW IT” and “Gross, I can no longer support you, thanks :)” “So that MUST mean you liked ((insert name)) because you’re ((insert sexuality))”. Coming out is SO stressful, especially if you have a VERY large following. They both have probably over a million people breathing down their necks and they need them to butt the heck out. And also, the people that write dirty fanfiction, y’all are sick. How do you even FATHOM the fact that you do this?! Is it something you like? Do you do it when you’re bored? Are there other reasons I don’t know and I don’t care! You do NOT absolutely do not even know these people's lives and what they go through and what they do with said partner. You cannot do that. They are real humans. They breathe, they have feelings, they have issues and emotions just like all of us. Here let’s put you in one of their shoes. You check your messages and notice that someone that is following you links you to ((Hell)). You think “Oh what the hell, what’s the worst it can be?” And you read it. You notice that it is a very suggestive fan fiction about you and your friend, and you're confronted with “they’re using me as a toy to write stuff on the internet” and “oh my god this is actually happening”. What would you do? How would you feel? Terrible, I would believe. And think about it, even if they were in a relationship at some point, would they even share that stuff with the world? Exactly no, people don’t need to know that and they know it. So you taking advantage of your B in Language arts is not helping anyone. Would I support them if they came out as, gay, bisexual, pansexual, etc? Absolutely. Would I support them if they come out as trans? Absolutely. Also to add- Shipping any of the characters that the band play like Party Poison and Fun Ghoul is fine. because they're fictional characters. They aren't real. [edit: but they are canonically teenagers (under 18) so don’t be a stink] But DON'T use that as an excuse when you are called out. You were using the real people, and if you weren't then OKAY. I just think you really shouldn't write that kind of fanfiction at all, but that's coming from an Asexual so- Yeet that’s all I can think if thanks for coming to my Ted talk, I hope you have a good day!
Rant: My stupid head Art: Me, it kind of embodies that you need to leave them alone. :) ((Y'all can zoom in to see my yucky handwriting :) ))
