Chapter 5 Jimmy’s perspective First thing I did when we all agreed, I sent Jessie to find water, they were the fastest out of the three of us. I got Jane to stay where she was and start fire while I went to hunt for food. First thing I thought to myself was “Anubus, please help me find some food”. All of the sudden, a light appeared behind me and then an undead looking soldier came out from the ground, holding three bags that were similar to the ones that Jane, Jessie and I have. But then I realised “wait they are the exact same bags”. I draw my flail, kind of nervous “who are you?” I say, losing a lot more confidence around this fellow. My legs seem to be shaking, my whole body seemed to be shaking, I couldln’t move “Well hello there” the skeleton replied. “who are you?” I say “Alas, I would think you would know who I am, grandson.” Then all of the sudden, the skeleton turned red his eyes were blank his hair was red as blood ” “Who who who are you? You are not my grandfather, you can’t be”. “what did you hear about me?” he says, in a demonic but being polite at the same time. “I heard that you got kind of destroyed” “Gods can not be destroyed, they just go out of commission for a few thousand years. But they can easily project their thoughts into a fake body or into someone’s mind, especially into those weak minded scarecrows that attacked you”. All of the sudden I felt a pit of anger swirling inside of me. What happened next, I blanked out for a minute, and when I opened my eyes, he was gone. The only thing that was left of him was a couple of pieces of paper. At first I thought I actually should chuck them away, but then I realised maybe Jane could use these pieces of paper, she might be able to see what we can’t see, hidden messages maybe. I walked around for a while, trying to look for food, but the only food I could find was a small rabbit and a baby camel. Firstly, I am tired, as I walked back to our campsite and it looked different somehow, there was a fire that I told Jane to start and there were a few buildings that weren’t there before. But the buildings looked transparent, like a literal ghost town. I decided to head to the campsite and ignore the buildings, I had a bad feeling about them. I got to the camp site and no-one was there.
