Song title/artist: Evermore sung by Dan Stevens; this is the song from the live action Beauty and the Beast (oh how I love that movie so much) sorry >.< this is not the song Evermore by Taylor Swift, although I love her album so much also, this song isn't the full thing, i cut it short so it's not too elongated here's a link to the full song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diLa-gpHRKc How the song is connected to your art: I wanted to draw a boy who had lost his mother in child birth for his younger sister, and when she died, their father went to the grocery store and never came back. The children were left to fend for themselves until their aunt found out what happened and took them into her custody. The part where their mom is crying, is when she was afraid she wouldn't be able to provide for kids. their father got laid off for drinking on the job and she was a secretary at a school, but that wasn't paying enough to provide for them all. She sent a letter to her sister asking if she could take care of her children if she wasn't able to, and the aunt agreed without a second thought. The boy loved his mother more than anything else in the world, and when he went to live with his aunt, each day he would go outside and climb to the top of an eletrical pole so he could get a good veiw of the sky and see the brightest star (the center of the glowing thing in the sky). His mother used to let him wish upon the star every night, so when he gazes upon the star he wishes to be with his mother once more just to tell her how much he loves her, mumbling that he will wait there "for evermore" until that one day she may come back to him. Then, each night, when up there, he feels like he can feel her presense, but only for a little bit. His little sister would come outside, and every day, would ask her brother, "Is she there?" and he would nod his head yes, and point at her. He waited until he was with her on the ground again, and then he would say, "She's right there in your heart with you. Always." They turn back to look at the eletrical pole, hoping their mother would show up there, then they would look at the star, make the wish once again, and go back inside to their aunt whoes always waiting at the door with blankets and a two glasses of warm milk. Here's my process of making this if you're interested: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/469059990/ if it get stuck at all (like it won't scroll) when it's on the cityscape part i reccomend you play the project again <3 Thanks to: - for hosting and judging (good luck with that! there's so many great entries out there, i doubt it's an easy job to choose) ^^ - for critiquing my landscape and giving me a second opinion on things <33 it was really nice to get another set of eyes on this piece and see what you thought of it - Dan Stevens and the sound cast of the live action of Beauty and the Beast for the music ^^
