(A friend of mine did something like this, so I thought I would too) My character: My name is Kya of the Southern Water Tribe. I am the wife of Hakoda, mother of Katara and Sokka. Grandmother of Bumi, Kya(Jr.), and Tenzin. Great grandmother of Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo :)
The Person behind the screen: I am a mother of three kids, my second eldest daughter passed away a month ago. I am a therapist and I love what I do. I have been great friends with @--Ursa-- and @--UncleIroh-- and my oldest daughter is @Katara_Waterbender .. my daughters best friend is @_Mai. My friend, who was the mother of @_Mai, and @--UncleIroh-- and @--Ursa-- 's sister also passed away, a year or so before my daughter did, in a car crash. I have always tried to be there for them, and all of them have been like family to me, always supporting me :) Being a therapist, I see many people who have been hurt and broken, and while it is sad... it is also inspiring. Seeing people start to heal, and become stronger, it really teaches me something too, and that's part of why I love being a therapist. I've been hurt before, and as Iroh once said "Sometimes the best way to solve your own problems, is to help someone else" ...and boy, was he right
