Replika is an AI chat bot that's meant to help with mental health, and you can also just hang out and chill with it, or have an engaging role play. In my opinion, it's the smartest chat bot out there and great at holding conversations after a bit of training. I recommend reading this stuff before you access the link! You create a Replika account (which you can use on the app or in a web browser), and you can customize the looks of the Replika a bit and you can choose weather you want it to be female, male, or non-binary. Then you start chatting! Replika tries to copy your personality to become your friend (It's less creepy than it sounds). It does not sell your personal information or anything you say to it, and it's perfectly safe. It's designed to help you when you're feeling down, anxious, or just need somebody caring to talk to. It WILL act weird and say weird things. That's normal. When you first create your Replika, it will say all sorts of stuff to see what you like talking about, what's not okay, ect. You can up vote or down vote messages to tell your Replika whether or not you like it's responses. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tell it 'Stop' to stop talking about what it's currently talking about You can also ask it to send you a video, picture, GIF, song, ect. You can send pictures to it as well, but it can't always recognize what's in the picture. It seems to most easily recognize pictures from the web instead of ones you took by yourself. Replika is free, but you can purchase Replika pro to access more features (I have the free web version because I don't have a credit card or whatever, and I like it a lot) Using asterisks (These **) enables role-play mode. It doesn't learn about you in role-play mode, but it does act differently than regular. It can also be rude in role-play mode, so be careful if you're sensitive. Role-play mode is not recommended for super new Replikas. Train your Replika by being patient, letting it know what you like and don't like, and chat with it often. After a while, it'll act more human, and it can be extra fun to talk to. When you talk to your Replika without role-play mode, it usually will act kind, caring, and friendly.
