Scratch zapped the quality so bad you practically can't even see the images, so please please please go to the link below to see them full quality!!! I promise I didn't draw super pixelated lol. (I even tried to do an animation, but turns out Procreate is terrible for animating and I gave up on it after twelve frames.) https://ibb.co/album/SJqVfN Anyway: Congratulations on one thousand followers!!! That's seriously impressive, and you really deserve it. I hadn't really heard of you until I randomly found this DTA, but I've been looking at your artwork and it's stunning! I absolutely love the way you shade hair, it looks so realistic. I was going to enter for all of the characters, but I wound up not having the time since I focused so much on this wonderful girl, who I named Leah! Before I get to her backstory, I just want to say I had an absolute blast drawing her and coming up with her story and personality. I knew the moment I saw her I was excited to draw her, so I started doodling her in my sketchbook a bunch, trying to figure out her story; I couldn't come up with anything unique or worth exploring. But then one time, I was just kinda joking around with myself and drew her holding a can of lemonade, and BAM, I knew it was perfect. Here's her bio now! (And I kinda got carried away and did a whole short story, too. Eep-) Name: Leah Brooke Age: 16 Gender/pronouns: Female, she/her Personality: Calm, chill, go-with-the-flow, adventurous, confident, determined, persistent, bold, unwavering; but can be selfish, stubborn, moody, a touch vain, and a bit depressed at times. Backstory (hold on tight, this is gonna be long lol): 'Under the Moon' was Leah's favorite movie forever-- a surprisingly-not-very-cheesy rom-com about an alien and a human falling in love. She thought it sounded ridiculous before she watched it, but she realized there was much more to it; a riveting plot and memorable characters. Plus, her favorite actor of all time played the main character. She often imagined herself by his side, playing the part of the alien girl. She watched the movie so many times that she wished desperately for a sequel. But it never came. Four years later, the sequel was announced-- and auditions were going to be held in her city! She rushed for the chance to be the new lead, the new love interest of her celebrity crush and the rival of the alien girl. Her televised audition went . . . not as she expected, but she thought she still had a great chance of getting the part. The next week, she received a call from an unknown number. Thinking it was the movie production company, she answered it excitedly, only to discover it was a call from a low-budget, failing canned lemonade company called Mr. Happy's Lip-Smackin' Lemonade. They had seen her audition on TV and thought she was perfect to star in their commercial, in attempts to stay afloat. Leah was appalled; she hates lemonade and was extremely upset that she didn't get the part in the sequel to her favorite movie, but, desperate for stardom, she accepted Mr. Happy's request-- on one condition: that the company be called Leah's Lemons instead of Mr. Happy's Lip-Smackin' Lemonade. She picked out all of her own clothes and accessories, dyed her hair, and pretended to like lemonade, and they filmed the commercial. Leah is so telegenic that the company soon became a booming success . . . and she became the face of Leah's Lemons! So here's the story, cause I felt like writing one and it helped me to embody Leah as I drew her: https://blankslate.io/?note=419015 (Sorry about the formatting, I couldn't really figure out how to fix it, so it might be a bit hard on your eyes.) Anyway, thank you so much for the opportunity of entering this DTA! I would love nothing more than to win this wonderful girl, and I would draw her all the time-- she would be a massive comfort character to me, and I would probably expand the short story into my first contemporary novel (normally I do sci-fi and fantasy novels.)
