Step 1- Guidelines: I draw a basic sketch of the cat. These lines and circles help me draw the lineart. Step 2- Lineart: I draw the lineart in black over my guidelines. Step 3- Erasing the Guidelines: I erase my guidelines. *There's a little trick I learned from @moss-shadow- fill EVERYTHING the color of the guidelines, and then fill-erase it! It's super fast and easy* Step 4- Touching-Up: I clean up my lineart, fix any mistakes, and generally make my lineart look better. *I did more than one touching-up panel in example 1* Step 5- Adding Details: I add the eyes, nose, and mouth, and do a bit more touching-up. Step 6- Color: I fill everything its base color. Step 7- Patterns: I add any patterns the cat has- tabby, spots, calico, ect. Step 8- Special Effects: I add special effects like blood or tears. *This step is not included in example 2* Step 9- Shading: I shade any parts of the cat that would be in shadow.
