His closest friend was deputy, and Shadeclaw knew once his friend became leader he would choose him to become deputy. He killed the leader, and after the new leader got into power and chose Shadeclaw as deputy, he killed him too. Stonefoot had to stop him and killed his own brother by pushing him into a river.
