Press space to see some other variations of the picture! I messed with some of the effects (stoke, blur) and couldn't really pick one combination, so I just included them all. Feel free to comment your favorite down below! The image in the thumbnail is my personal favorite combination :) Song title - Dance With You Artist - Jo Ellen Pellman and Ariana DeBose, from the musical, The Prom Reference - last costume in Sprite 1 Connection to the art: The song in the project is from a musical called The Prom. The main premise of the story is about a lesbian named Emma (pictured left) who asks her girlfriend Alyssa (pictured right) to the high school prom. But because they live in Indiana, their high school doesn't allow same-sex couples to go to prom together. The PTA rules they can't go, cancels the prom, and leaves Emma hated by her peers. All the way in New York, a group of theater narcissists are looking to buff up their reputation and find Emma's cause attractive. They travel to Indiana and make it their sole goal to bring back prom. Along the way, Emma and Alyssa's relationship is tested, the theater group learns more about themselves, and they all teach the audience about the importance of equality, empathy, and loving thy neighbor regardless of their sexuality or gender identity. The picture shows a moment from the movie that I really loved, where they're both singing and are happy to be themselves. I really felt this image embodied the message of the play :) Other notes: Originally, I was going to choose the song Love Thy Neighbor (also from the musical) instead, but the song isn't intended for anyone younger than 13, so I decided to not do that. Though I'm not part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I'm a pretty strong ally. So while I can't relate personally to the gay energy in this song, I love it regardless. - Credits - MUSIC: Dance With You by Jo Ellen Pellman and Ariana DeBose, from the musical, The Prom ART: drawn by me in Photoshop Also this is kinda a style reveal :P
