Hurricane Giovanni was a powerful, unexpected hurricane that demolished Florida. TD 8 formed about 90 miles north of the Florida keys. Then, It intensified to a TS shortly after. It did minimal damage in Florida. Then it dissipated. SIKE! the remnants of Giovanni went south towards the Bahamas, and moved slowly towards Florida, Rapidly instenifying to a Cat. 3 hurricane before making landfall in the Keys. It weakened slightly to a Cat. 2 and went north slowly, rapidly intensifying to a Cat. 4 before making landfall in the Floridian Panhandle.
