Haiku (Japanese): 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables If you have to many/few syllables, trying substituting the word for a synonym Cinquain (French): Line 1: Topic of Poem Line 2: 2 adjectives (describing words) Line 3: 3 "ing" participles that describe what your poem is about Line 4: Phrase telling more about what your writing about Line 5: Synonym for your title/topic
