I respect the scratch team. without them, scratch wouldn't even exist. but I do think there are a few things they could do to improve. right now, the scratch team's policy is very heavy on reporting things, like art theft, and not letting conflict escalate. that's good in terms of keeping the site kid-friendly and stopping hate, but I feel like they should let people figure things out themselves sometimes, you know? you know how in kindergarten you're always told to try to solve it yourself, and if you can't, THEN go ask an adult for help? that's there so that people can learn how to solve their own problems instead of always depending on others. like, if someone steals art, saying even the slightest thing about it is considered rude in the scratch team's eyes, and the common response is "report the project and move on, don't make a big deal out of it". this is good in a way, I guess, but people need to learn to handle conflict and problem-solving by themselves. because there is no general moderation in the real world, and growing up having to always depend on others to solve your problems isn't very good. anyways, that's just my thoughts <3
