She can jump inside it and it comes to life. She lived in the Phantom Dimension, and wasn't even able to use her powers there. There's some sort of protection there that makes it impossible. She wanted to escape to Jamaa, and not have to fight the animals. There was a portal, but it never opened. But once she saw the Phantom King open it. She rushed to get through, but the phantoms rushed after her... and gave her a phantom bite. If a phantom is given a phantom bite, if the phantom that's bitten has powers, it loses it's powers completely, gets turned into an animal, and the bite stays forever. In some cases, because phantoms only have one eye, when turned into an animal, there is a phantom crystal where the left eye should be. (that was the case with Mystery) They are also never able to get close to phantoms ever again. Ow my hands
