Man, it has been a while, huh? I really just have not been on Scratch much since the 3.0 update here. I used to go on Scratch every single day, and now I rarely log in. I suppose it's just like that sometimes. Life moves on and all that. Anywho, anyone remember Team Dream? This was a really old PMD inspired team that I made many years ago, and they starred in a story I "creatively" called Explorers of Hope. I used to post projects on Scratch all the time with these guys, and I enjoyed it to bits. Since then I've made other PMD teams and stories though, and Team Dream has kind of faded in to the background. That doesn't mean that I have forgotten it though. Recently I started thinking about it again, and decided to make an outline of what the story would be if I were to write it now. I won't be actually making that hypothetical rewrite, but it was fun outlining practice regardless. After that, I thought about doing a redraw as well, and went searching for the very first Team Dream drawing that I ever made. I can vividly remember sitting in one of my classes and drawing this in my sketchbook, peeking at references in one of those pokedex books I had brought with me to school. Thankfully, I still had the sketchbook, so I grabbed that and then got my tablet to begin a redraw. Of course, with how much EoH content I used to make on Scratch, after I had finished the drawing, I thought about here, and figured I ought to share my work here, for old time's sake. I do hope that you enjoy this little art comparison, and I wish you all a happy New Year's. I don't know when the next time I'll post a project will be, but I do still poke my head in here from time to time, so feel free to say hello. Never forget about your childhood whimsy. EoH is old now and a bit cringy at times, as was a lot of my experience on Scratch, but I still look back on my time with it fondly. Cheers.
All art belongs to me, the 2015 drawing was made just with pencil and a sketchbook, and the 2020 drawing was made on Autodesk Sketchbook. Please do not remix.
