So I decided to draw a little comic of Kayli and Snapbranch on New Year's Eve. And... here it is! Scratch lowered the quality a ton, sadly. Click to freeze and look at a single part of the drawing. It works...some of the time. In this picture: Kayli - dark hair, k!ssing Snapbranch, taller - she/her Snapbranch / Lisa - light hair, k!ssing Kayli, shorter - she/her Kai - bottom, annoyed, shaggy hair, 'special snowflake' hoodie - they/them Criticism time! I really like everything about Kai (the annoyed-looking one at the bottom). I captured their emotions really well with the thin, slanted mouth and half-circle eyes. I also love their hoodie. I started drawing a hoodie, and decided that it needed a design. The hoodie is really in-character, since they use a lot of labels (nonbinary, genderqueer, asexual, demiromantic, panromantic, and greyromantic) 'snowflake' is something they'd be called a lot, but they wouldn't care and would be downright proud of it. I also like that I added the extra line about pizza at the end, since the original meme stopped at the microwave line. Now what I don't like about it... I don't like how awkward Kayli and Snapbranch look. They're too far apart and don't look like they're k!ssing. They don't really have bodies. Kayli's hair is all wonky-- it doesn't look like braids and her hairline is way too far back. The speech bubble where they're counting down is weird where it splits into two talk indicators. There's no real border between Kai and the microwave, and Kaylisa.
