Hi! If you want to make a scrolling platformer here is a start! The player I have created can move left (left arrow), move right (right arrow) and jump (up arrow). I have made lava but have not made any script for the player to die and go back to the start if it touches it. I have also made spikes, a portal and coins but I have added no code to that so you'll have to do that by yourself. If you would like to use this scrolling platformer engine then remix this project and continue on it. Please put me in the credits for the start on it though.
