This program is designed to help memorize the notes of each individual fret of each individual string of a guitar (not chords). Nearly all guitar trainer apps are focused on chords, but this one's for those more interested in using guitar for melody/counterpoint than chord strumming. When the name of a note comes up, just click on the fret on the fingerboard to answer and move on to the next question. You can pick a single string to work on or quiz yourself on all of them. You can also pick a scale to turn on a scale helper to help visualize the notes in a scale. And finally, you can choose to hide the name of the note and work entirely off of the staff. And yes, this is for a 24 fret guitar. Which isn't nearly as common as 22, but I think 24 makes more sense. Maybe I'll add a 22 fret option if people are extra salty about the 24 frets.
Please subscribe to my YouTube channel for stuff about VR, 3D printing, making games, and more: https://youtube.com/mintyfries All 3D objects made in Blender. Please comment and let me know what kind of guitar style you like to play! I hope this will be a comprehensive tool for those interested in classical guitar, math rock, guitar sight reading, or just want a more thorough understanding of the instrument. If I get lots of hearts, favorites, and comments, then I'll add some other scales like pentatonic, blues, harmonic minor, whole tone, hijaz kar, etc. And please, please, please let me know if you find a bug or a mistake. This was a complicated program for me to make so it still needs rigorous testing to ensure that all of the notes and keys are correct.
