In a time of total war, there were people who wanted to create a weapon that would give them control over the entire world. For a long time they experimented with bioweapons. In the end some scientists figured out how to create animals that had unusual abilities. They began creating an army of cats with special abilities. Many of these abilities were centred around toxic chemicals and radioactivity. Unfortunately, the cat army proved to be too difficult to control. Many cats escaped into the wild, destroying the environment everywhere they went. One cat, however,was careful not to harm the environment. She did everything she could to prevent the other cats from causing harm, but she was unable to fix the damage they had already caused. The cat called herself Toxin, because she had to power to poison anything she came into contact with if she wanted to. Meanwhile, the scientists were busy trying to find a way to control the animals they created. Despite all the damage they had caused, they were still determined to keep trying. Eventually the scientists worked out how to use robotics to control the cats. A single cat that had robotic parts was created. The scientists could control the cat's movement. Toxin had learned of what the scientists were doing, and this made her angry. She decided that she wanted to destroy the lab where the scientists were working. After some planning, she went in and successfully set the lab on fire. The scientists sent the robotic cat out to fight Toxin, but she was smart enough to defeat him. During the battle she destroyed part his robotics, so that the scientists were unable to control him. Not wanting to let the cat die, she dragged him out of the burning lab. The two of them escaped successfully, but the robotic cat was severely injured by the flames. He had lost a leg, and was blinded in his right eye. Toxin named him Wires, and the two cats became good friends. Toxin helped Wires recover from his injuries, and helped him to live normally despite his disabilities. Toxin and Wires had successfully escaped the humans, but now they would have to survive in the wild. The world they were living in was a dangerous one. The environment had been ruined and was now a nuclear wasteland, and the humans were still at war. But the cats were persistent, and they managed to survive despite the difficulties they faced.
