EXTRA: -The first time I tried to make this, I used an electronic candy thermometer. Half-way through the process, it melted and "died". -You might want to think about adding more than 3 tablespoons of orange juice. -For valentines day you could make hard candy hearts by: -Using cranberry juice instead of orange juice. -Using red dye instead of yellow dye. -Pouring the syrup into heart shaped cookie cutters (sprayed with cooking spray, and with sprayed foil under it).
