BE SURE NUMBER LOCK IS OFF!! Scroll down for controls. Rules: You can only move diagonally, staying on the black squares. You can only move one space at a time unless you are jumping, in which case you move two spaces over an opposing piece. You cannot jump your own pieces. Normal pieces can only move towards your opponent's side, while king pieces can move anywhere. You acquire kings by moving a regular piece all the way across the board. If all of your pieces are jumped or trapped, then you lose. If that does not make any sense, you can probably just look up how to play checkers. Controls: Hover over the piece you want to move. Then to move press 7, 9, 1 or 3 on the number pad. 7 is up and left, 9 is up and right, 1 is down and left, 3 is down and right. To jump, Press Q, E, Z or C. Q is up and left, E is up and right, Z is down and left, C is down and right.
I've always wanted to make a checkers game really ever since I started scratching all those years ago. After (I think) two failed attempts, I gave up on the idea until a few years ago, when I thought of the hovering over idea, I then had problems figuring out how to jump the pieces, considered it a failure, and went on with life. A few days ago, I noticed this project in my stuff, and decided to take a look at it. Had it up and running in a matter of days. So, this is a game many years in the making. Have fun!
