This is the last little bit of the first chapter, just what wouldnt fit into the character limit Part 1 and 2 can be found on my profile if you missed them Note: this is a work in progress, and barely edited as of now. I will most likely change things before I finish all the chapters :P “Anyways, I know how insane this all is, and we’ll all help you understand everything. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. Also, I’m like, 99% sure this isn’t a dream.” She glanced down at her watch, and said “Holy crap, it’s 2:00 already! My parents will be getting worried, I’d better go. And Amy, don't you have a gymnastics lesson in half an hour?” “Yeah, I do! I gotta go get ready for that. Bye, guys!” She said as she ran back into the main room. Ash grabbed a backpack that had been laying against the chair she had been reading in when I entered the room, and dashed out. “Her parents are pretty overprotective of her, so whenever she goes anywhere, she has to tell them where she’s going, how long she’ll be staying, and who will be there.” Kyle said. “For Keepers meetings, she just tells her parents she’s going to a book club meeting at the library. If your mom asks where you’re going, you can always tell her that. We do a lot of reading here, anyways, especially Amir, so It’s more of a half-truth then an outright lie.” Amir looked up from his book when he heard his name, then looked back down at it. He took a note on a piece of paper on a table next to his chair, and I noticed that the book he was reading wasn’t written in english. It consisted of symbols similar to the ones in japanese or chinese, but didn’t seem to be either one. “What’s that book you’re reading?” I asked him. He looked up from his book again, and said “Oh, It’s Elvish Fables and Myths. I’m translating it for the others.” “Wha-?...How can you…?” “My amulet lets me read, write, speak, and understand all languages. That’s how I understood you when you turned into a dog.” I had a lot of questions, but he had gone back to his book and didn’t look like he wanted to talk about it anymore. Everyone looked like they were getting ready to leave, so I decided to, as well. Summer showed me out, and taught me how to open the bookshelf doors with my amulet. She also said that we meet around lunchtime on the weekends, right after school on school days, and to come tomorrow if I wanted to. Also, to make sure that no one was around when I was opening the door. I walked with her back out into the library, and left after checking out the book she had recommended. That night before I drifted off to sleep, I hoped with everything I had that this wasn’t a dream.
