Just gonna put rping tips here as I think of them. Sorry if these offend you. If rping in a major rp studio see if people rp in first or third character and do what most people do other wise you'll be the odd one out and it might annoy people Always use your best grammar. even if it's not great, at least use basic punctuation and quotations marks when a character is talking. Personality development does happen! yes, and it should but don't write your character as like shy for example and then rp them super bold instantly put effort into your bio. managers are more likely to accept that way and if you are unsure what your character would do in a situation, looking back at the bio could help. save your bios. i always forget to do this and I really regret it. unless it's a casual/joke rp studio, and even if it is, most people hate OP (over-power and mary sue characters (characters that can do no wrong) also characters who do only wrong are disliked as well. Unless you know enough about the fandom, you really shouldn't join fandom rps unless everything is explained in the rules. I'm not saying not to, but you probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. This doesn't mean you need to be part of the fandom, but mainly what i mean is understand how the world works. Your character doesn't know everything and should grow and find things out naturally through rp. when managers are accepting bios they don't like people who whine or argue, politely explaining a misunderstanding is fine, but there is a point where that gets overdone. Complicated personalities are fine, but they shouldn't contradict themselves. Understand what a personality trait is. Look some up if you need to. don't plan out your oc's entire life.that's one of the main differences between rping and just writing a story by yourself. read the rules of the rp understand managers have a life outside rp and cannot be accepting bios 24/7 Do not become addicted to roleplaying take time to do other stuff you need to
