Welcome to the STOCK MARKET SIMULATOR!!! In this game, you start with $10,000 to invest. As you live your life as a stock market analyst/investor, you have to earn your living, pay your cost of living, and get rich!!! In this simulator, you trade SCCH (Scratch Shares). The gameplay is very simple. The computer does all the necessary calculating for you. All you need to do is buy shares and sell them. To buy, press "buy" and select an amount. (The buying potential tells you how many shares you can purchase as the current price.) To sell, it's just as simple: click "sell". The layout is a bit rough and takes a couple of times to get used to. Basically, the current price and its relative values are in the bottom left. The current price is the most important variable, so be sure to pay attention to it. Your buying power (the money you can spend) is on the bottom middle-right as well as the commission. Buying, selling, and your shares are also on the right. The one unlabeled variable is the number of months you have spent in the market. Above that is the price at which you bought your current stocks. Next to that is the number of values and the percentage of loss/gain. At the top are the second essential variables. The cost of giving is subtracted from your buying power, so pay attention to that. The USD value, total shares, and market average help determine the cost of living. (Grossly, if the USD value is high, and the total shares are low, the cost of living rises, whereas, vice versa, the cost of living falls. The market average effects this separately, but essentially has the same effect.) The green line indicates the current price. The blue line indicates the market average. The current price cannot go above this. The orange line illustrates the cost of living. NOTE: the current value and market average use a different scale than the cost of living. A thousand SCCH points are around fifty to eighty cost of living points. In the top right are a sprite and a variable. The variable tells you how long until you can sell your current stocks. The sprite tells you when you can sell. NOTE: unless the time is above zero, the sprite is A SUGGESTION ONLY. Notice that you can sell much higher than when the sprite tells you that you can.
