The cool, night air was silent, A mysterious figure swept down towards the city on silent wings. She alighted on a rooftop, and pulled out a small jar of pure white that glistened like a million stars. The figure opened the lid, just a crack, and whispered a name to the dust. "Gari," She breathed. The dust stopped, and a trickle poured out, floating on rays of moonlight. "Magpie." Another name, another swirl of dust. "Spirit. Tingle. Moondancer." The names cam faster, and the shining dust swirled in anticipation. "Nightlight. Springsign. Candlelight. Fly-By-Night. Wind Whisper. Trotamundo." The last name was spoken, and the last particle of dust escaped the jar. The figure straightened, put the jar away, and began to sing a hauntingly beautiful song. "Come little children, I'll take thee away..." Her voice echoed through the town, like ripples in a pool. A filly heard it, sitting alone in a cold room, crying herself to sleep. A colt heard it, shivering in a cardboard box, with a thin ragged scrap of cloth that was barely warmer than nothing. Three foals heard it, sitting atop bunk beds in the orphanage. All across the city, 12 foals opened their eyes, perked their ears, and looked up at the moon in wonder. The moon shone brightly, casting a silver glow upon the little ponies who stared up at it. Tiny stars floated down to the foals, enveloping them in a shimmering light. A colt flapped his wings, scared of the light, and drifted off the floor. The three foals at the orphanage moved their hooves, and found themselves walking on air! The three raced each other out the open window, following the melody the figure sang. As the foals ran closer to the figure, they stopped short, instinctively kneeling in midair. The figure was Princess Luna! Luna smiled in amusement, and turned towards the moon, softly drifting away. The ponies scrambled to their hooves, and followed the princess. Any sane pony would have been terrified, but some instinct told the ponies they were safe. A white filly ran forward to the princess. Luna smiled, and stroked the filly's pink-lilac mane. "Come little children, the times now to play, here in my garden of sha-aa-dows..." Luna sang, leading 12 foals-6 fillies, 6 colts, all of them unloved-into the night.. Far behind them, Princess Celestia awoke, and stared out her window, as if she had just had a vision. "Luna... Soooo, I wrote some pony fanfic based on the beautiful animation Children of the Night. I love it, and so should you. Sooo, here are the bios of the 12 colts, based on the official story on Fimfiction(also the basis for the personalitys). And yes, Im pretty sure they are ALL OCs. Side note: All unicorns have a particulat skill. This is actually canon, since Twilight says most unicorns can just levitate things and do only one type of magic, unless their cutie mark is for magic in general, like Twilights is. Gari: A unicorn(future alicorn) filly in different shades of brown. She has bright green eyes, and 2 cookies as a cutie mark. Her unicorn power is to turn objects into other objects, particularly cookies or milk. Spirit: Brown pegasus filly with dark brown ears. Reddish mane and tail, and red-brown eyes. Her wings are abnormally small, due to a birth defect. Cutie mark is a key hole Magpie: Black pegasus filly, with white hooves and a black and white mane and tail, with a streak of sky-blue going through both. Her cutie mark is a coin. Has OOSD(Obsessive OOH SHINY Disorder)(Not really, its a joke, she just likes shiny things.) Gari, Spirit, and Magpie all lived in the same orphanage together, and are very close.. Nightshade: Deep purple earth pony colt with a bright red mane and light blue eyes. His cutie mark is a red music note. Moondancer(but isnt there a canon mondancer?): white unicorn filly, with a pink and lilac mane, and blue eyes. Her cutie mark is a crescent moon and stars. Reminds me of Sweetie Belle. No unicorn power I know of, but she is a good dancer. GAHHHH SO MANY OCS Nightlight: Dark blue-green earth pony filly with a blue green mane with neon green streaks through it.Her cutie mark is 3 fireflies. Springsign: Grass-green earth pony filly with dark green and brown mane.her eyes are orange, and her cutie mark is an orange and yellow flower. Candlelight: White unicorn colt with a flame-colored mane and tail and red eyes. His cutie mark is a flame, and his unicorn power is manipulating fire. Trotamundo: gingerbread-brown earth pony colt, with a messy white mane and blue eyes. His cutie mark is an old-fashioned rucksack. Fly-By-Night: Deep blue pegasus colt with a white and blue-green mane, and yellow eyes. His cutie mark shows a full moon shrouded in clouds, and a few birds flying across it. Tingle: Dark grey unicorn colt with a neon yellow mane and tail. He has yellow-green eyes and a lightning bolt cutie mark. His unicorn power is shocking ponies with lightning. Wind Whisper: Light blue pegasus colt with a white mane and tail, and blue eyes. His cutie mark is a gust of wind. Whew! I did it! IMPORTANT NOTE: This story takes off during the Children of the Night animation,(some time before Luna's banishment to the moon) and any time jumps thereafter will be noted! None of the foals have their cutie marks YET, except for Springsign and Nightshade. To understand this better, watch the Children of the Night animation on Youtube, its beautiful.
