⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀The Ashes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀› Introduction ⠀⠀⠀› Marco ⠀⠀⠀› Seth ⠀⠀⠀› Finn ⠀⠀⠀› Celine ⠀⠀⠀› Credits ⠀⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Introduction⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ As I did with Nunca Sola, I decided to draw Marco's family, to help me get to know both their appearance and personalities better. Each time I finished one of the family members, my instinctive reaction was to post the finsihed drawing on Scratch. Despite this, I made myself wait until all four cats were done XDD It was very tempting to post little Finn especially~ after drawing Finn, I realized that my art isn't as bad as I thought it was, and my case of same body/face synonym isn't as bad as it was previously. So yeah~ meet the Ashes :DD ⠀⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Marco⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀This drawing is probably the worst out of the four, since it was the first one that I made. I'm not too happy with it, but I definitely learned a lot while drawing it. I finally learned how to shade when the light is coming from behind~ something I've been struggling with for a while now. You've probably seen that same smile in a lot of other drawings, but since I was working on same face syndrome while drawing this, it actually has a meaning. I just sort of felt like that smile would be how Marco smiles~ I don't know, it just feels like Marco XDD ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Seth⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀Seth has a pretty long backstory written out for him in my head, so I've sorta grown to care for him, which is why this is my second favorite drawing ^^ This is where I really started improving with my same face syndrome, though I didn't realize it until I started drawing Finn's sketch. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Finn⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀Eee Finn's so f l u f f y and he looks so s o f t~ I've never drawn characters like this before, so there was a lot of experimenting :00 I expected the large, round legs to look sorta strange, and I expected to have to redo it, but I didn't ^^ I also tried to make Finn look childish compared to the others, by changing stuff with his face shape and his eyes. I think it sorta worked. The eyes could be bigger, but eh, it's fine. I experimented a lot with design here too. At first, he was going to look w a y different than he does now. ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Celine⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀Okay, so Celine's sorta small, so I feel like I need to say this. Celine is not Marco's sibling~ Finn is. Celine is Marco's mother. She's very short, and Seth and Marco are tall, so she looks younger than she is :P Anyways, so Celine, like Finn, had a lot of design changes. And in her sketch her ears looked like mouse ears XDD I'm really happy with how she came out, though :000 ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Afterword⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀I've never really done an afterword before but I felt like I needed to make some sort of closing section for some reason :p Anyways, so that's the Ashes ^^ Any tips on my same body/face syndrome would be appreciated~ just don't critique on Marco. He was drawn before I started figuring it out.
